About This Spot

Stepping into Piggy's Ice Cream-Harry's Grille feels like slipping into a cherished corner of Hendersonville, where time slows down just enough to savor the simple pleasures. This is a casual, welcoming spot that blends the hearty warmth of a classic barbecue joint with the nostalgic charm of an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. The pace here invites you to lean back, take in the eclectic collection of antiques and memories that punctuate the walls and ceiling, and settle in for a genuine, unhurried local experience.

The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, balanced by the hum of friendly chatter and the inviting scent of smoked meats wafting from the open kitchen. It’s the kind of place where familiarity feels natural, whether you’re digging into a plate of tender pulled pork paired with creamy mac and cheese or cooling down with a scoop of ice cream that melts effortlessly on the tongue. Every bite is a quiet celebration of down-home favorites, from thick-cut cheeseburgers to savory rib plates, served alongside sides that carry the soul of Southern comfort.

There’s a subtle magic in the way the flavors and décor come together here — the stories layered in every vintage relic on the walls, the steady rhythm of casual service, and the genuine smiles that make you feel less like a customer and more like a visitor to someone’s well-kept kitchen. It’s a place for slower moments: sharing a meal, swapping a few stories, tasting a few memories, and finding joy in the deliciously simple.

A wonderful place for a meal at a reasonable price. Very interesting relics on the walls and ceiling.

The food is fantastic! The service is superb! This antique local restaurant is a must visit. I picked the daily special for $11. The chicken enchilada was soooo good. Please visit and try all their food. Everything is delicious. We also tried their ice cream. Oh, it melts in your mouth. It was ab amazing experience. Let’s support local business

Delicious!!!CASH ONLY! But sooooo worth it! We ordered: cheeseburger, fried okra, pulled pork, turnip greens, coleslaw, and Brunswick stew. And it all was stupendous. Full of flavor and fast. Don’t go to a fast food restaurant go here get your food and make your tummy happy!

The atmosphere is casual, very fun, and over all a whimsical place to eat for everyone. The decor has large and small antique treasures and memorabilia the owner has collected over time. Our table ordered a BBQ plate: excellent, a hot dog plate: excellent. The plate comes with a side and our French fries were very good. They also serve ice cream. The hot dogs were some of the best I have ever eaten. It was very busy when we were there but the service gets people through the line and seated quickly. You can't miss it because it has big animal statues on the roof! We will be eating here again.

The food is really good. The best part is the dessert. My go to is the banana split. Best in town

I absolutely love this restaurant.I went to it for my first time on thursday and had the pulled pork plate with collard greens and baked beans and Hush Puppies and it was excellent, great taste, great price.I think I got that plate and my drink for like eleven dollars and change. We sat out doors.I absolutely loved that the waitress staff and the employees very friendly and very helpful. I definitely suggest if you're in Hendersonville. Go try this place. They also have many different ice creams. We didn't have any but others did. I will return soon.
